Lönekoll applies the official rules of the country you select in Settings. For Sweden that means municipal and regional tax, national income tax, basic allowance, earned income tax credit, burial fee and optional church fee. Denmark, the UK and Germany each use their own full rule set, from AM-bidrag and topskat to National Insurance, student loans, Lohnsteuer and tax classes.

The app gives an estimate based on standard rules. Your actual withholding can differ because of individual tax adjustments, benefits, occupational pension or deductions the app doesn't know about. In Sweden, the tax-table simulation shows how your employer computes preliminary tax.

The calculator, including the full tax breakdown and employer cost, is free. Premium is a single one-time purchase that unlocks the Salary history, Insights and Negotiation tabs. There is no subscription.

On iPhone, go to Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID you bought it with. On Android, install the app with the same Google account and Premium is restored automatically through Google Play.

Open Settings in the app and pick Sweden, Denmark, the United Kingdom or Germany. The calculator, tax breakdown and statistics switch to that country's rules. Apple Watch follows the country and language set on your iPhone.

Yes. All calculations run on your device. A connection is only used for currency conversion, purchases and iCloud sync.

On your device. On iPhone you can turn on iCloud sync to keep your devices in step; the data then lives in your own iCloud account. We never receive it. See the privacy policy.

Swedish, English, Danish and German. The app follows your device language.
